I don't know what to think when it lists HK #1, Vancouver #3 on most unaffordable housing. So it means, Vancouver is just as bad if not worse.
Are we... living in fantasy?
It's not just living conditions. Compared to many villages in China, people who grow up in HK already have a very decent chance to succeed with all kinds of resources and basic education. Apart from those who grow up in abusive families, there are a lot of people who just don't work hard when they are young. Like the guy with a master's degree, he would rather wander around in malls instead of looking for ways to improve himself.
It's true that there are some who deserve better, but I would say the majority of those who live in cage houses are just consequences of their own decisions.
不過我亦想指出，即使田二少、周少爺等等出來做場咁嘅 show，其實弱勢社群每日真正面對嘅，比佢地又可止苦多百倍、千倍呢？人地見你係田二少，講句說話都最少會好聲好氣。換咗係片裡面嘅平哥，如果平時掃得慢少少，你睇吓會唔會俾人 diu 到開花？就算係 JuJu小姐，如果真係響茶餐廳度做，人地會唔會淨係叫你扭吓布，企出出面拉客，做啲咁輕 kang 嘅野？
