財政司長曾俊華應黃毓民狠批：注資強積金好陰毒後，終於決定收回財政預算案注資強積金的做法，全港18歲以上永久居民可以直接獲取6000元。

曾俊華今晨再約見建制派議員，介紹其修訂財政預算案後的措施後宣布，考慮到近日公眾對6000元注資強積金做法的不滿，決定轉換平台，18歲或以上永久性居民，可按意願全數直接提取6000元，此舉令更多市民受惠，包括公務員、家庭主婦、退休人士等。對於仍未受惠此措施的有需要人士，財爺表示會預留一筆款額處理。

財爺又說，為回應中產人士對財政預算案的不滿，決定寬免薪俸稅及個人入息課稅75%，上限6000元。

Thanks for the information. But I still would prefer the government to spend this money on helping the poor.

What I did was wrote an official letter and authorized my relative to collect the cheque for me and there is a 3 years expiry on the government cheque, so I didn't collect all 3 of the cheques until last year October.

The other way to do is have my relative to collect it and I deposit it in Canada bank; however, the bank will charge you surcharge.... I cashed my first cheque in Scotia Bank and they charge me quite a bit on the surcharge....

The only thing is you have to open an account to deposit the cheque, you cannot just bring the cheque to random bank to cash it... ...

We have bank account in Hong Kong. Do we need to register in person in order to receive the cash?

We may just collect the cash and spend it on a "nice meal" to "help" the poor as suggested by Lik.

I don't think you need to...
Not when I collect my cash from Macau government, as long as I have a bank account in Macau to deposit the cheque and a valid Macau ID.  

The only thing is you have to open an account to deposit the cheque, you cannot just bring the cheque to random bank to cash it...

Let's see how the "nice meal" will help the poor.

It is just an easy way out for government to take. I just feel sorry for the families living under the poverty line. They will continue to be in the same situation since I don't think they can work their way up by their own strength without help from government.

It is good that HK squabble about how to spend excess cash. Here, in Canada the politicians think about how to borrow more money.
