Canadian sci-fi author releases horrible pictures after bout with flesh-eating disease: Gruesome



Canadian science fiction writer Peter Watts recently survived a bout of flesh-eating disease, as previously reported by The Province.

On a blog entry about the experience, Watts stated he was hours away from death, and that a large portion of his leg had been removed.

Watts is currently recovering from the procedure and has posted photos of his leg post-surgery on his blog, along with an explanation of the treatment, which requires removing the affected areas and then packing the open wound with foam and using a machine that sucks blood back into the region....
