    I have good tolerance too...but as computer "ages"....hard-drive running out of space, memory is not enough....etc etc...to just cope w/ the latest windows update or increasing software that are installed...and even high quality video can't play on old computer... not that I really want to upgrade computer la(such an hassle to xfer all the stuff over)

Again, I have no problem to buy "made in China/Thailand/Viet" electronic, as they are affordable ..  way less then made in japan, or Germany ..

Ghost not know Made in Germany stuffs are good .. but expensive .. VERY expensive ..  

Made in Germany Leica vs made in canada  ... made in germany Benz vs made in US one .. made in japan toyota vs made in canada one ....

Well. to be fair, it has nothing to do with made in China or made in some other SE Asian countries.

The gadgets made these days are not made the same way as before.
A long time ago, things were designed and made to last a long time.
These days, things are mass produced on a very large scale and made to last for shorter period of time.

Consumers want affordable products, and the manufacturers want to make more money. The result is products intentionally made to last for shorter period of time.

If products last for a long time, the manufacturers will not be able to make more money.

Well .. not this 十年 ..  but last few 十年 ..

no matther from microwave, stove, frige, washer, toaster etc and etc ...  no longer last long ..  as they are all made in china or other SE asian countries ..

Even shaver, one I got long time ago .. last .. ~ 10 yr? then every ~ 2-3 yr .. need to replace ...

其實習慣咗o既話都ok o既..........
記得幾年前我都仲用緊PIII o既電腦.........XD
所以我對慢o既電腦個tolerance都唔錯

My sony tv from HK lasts almost 20 yrs...still ok.
So as my panasonic rice  cooker (also from HK)...

The vacuum (Hoover) also last > 10 yrs, so as my fridge (Maytag).

但係十年前買到襟用嘅電器唔代表今時今日買番同一牌子都會咁耐用個喎。
