I usually tip around 10% for the staff at most restaurants and more (around 15%) for all-you-can-eat restaurants? what about the rest of LYK?

我自己一個人食多數去food court或者fast food,唔洗比
去學校canteen 都唔洗比
如果去美國就會比多少少...
服務唔好o既話唔洗比咁多,反正都無下次,無人會認得你

usually 10% after tax, so is arround 12%...if the place have good service, I'll give 18% -20%

yeap! 15% is the general tip in US.
I usually tip 15% here except restaurants with not much service. (e.g. pho, quick meals like burger places...)

ur quite generous. i generally tip 15% at AYCE places cuz they work even harder. they take orders from me many times and deliver many times. or because i feel more satisfed after getting all stuffed up after AYCE

that is pretty typical isnt it? if you are cheap then that makes both of us haha... the only time i didn't tip was some while ago. i received pretty bad service overall. i did not even leave a penny behind. but i think most of them work hard to make a living and most if not all are just making minimum wage or less. i think they deserve some appreciation from us customers
