OWEEKANO (NEWS1130) - The Vancouver Island Health Authority confirms a man is in serious condition after getting attacked by a grizzly along the Central Coast. It happened about 480-kilometres northwest of Vancouver in Oweekeno.
This comes as autopsy results are expected today as to whether a woman was killed by a black bear near Lillooet last week.
In two other unrelated incidents, Mounties were forced to shoot a bear that killed two alpacas in Kamloops and conservation officers killed another one that wandered too close to Victoria's downtown core.
