Uniform exams are required to prevent "grade inflation" in some high schools.

Commerce has always difficult to get in. It's board based admission so even if you have high 90s+ you might not get in if you don't have any extra curricular activities.

I don't know about adjusting marks for public vs private schools though. It's a rumor and I actually it's easier to get higher marks in some private schools because you are paying a very high tuition fee and the school wants the students to "succeed."

A lot of people get kicked out. Usually due to 1. LPI 2. GPA 3. Lack of interest.

agreed~ I swear, some of the TA's english might even be at an ESL level... their accents makes their english sound like @!#$##%#$%$%... if the TA's can't speak fluent english, why do the students need to speak fluent english?

You can't expect SFU students to speak fluent English even though they get high marks in their majors. Some of them are still in ESL level...

The companies here are unwilling to invest in fresh graduates, due to high cost of doing businesses here. The best talent just leave the country.

Many fresh grads got their first jobs in the US or in Asia,  among them some may relocate back to Canada with a more appealing resume.
