All people living in richmond and head to downtown to work required to pay for 2 zones.....

Right. And there is discussion to limit the charge to 1 or 2 zones for buses that didn't travel pass multiple zones as well.
btw. it isn't so hard to tap before you walk out of a bus...
Sounds like they will charge the maximum amount when you tap-in, and then credit you back if you get off before crossing zone. So for most riders, there is no need to tap out.

Huh? I thought most ppl don't travel 2 or 3-zones. This doesn't make sense then. Those who forget to tap out will be charged 3-zones
From Translink...
Tap Out
When you've reached your destination, or when transferring between vehicles / modes, you're required to tap your card on the card reader to exit. When you tap out, the system calculates the fare zones you've traveled and instantly credits your card for the fare difference - charging you the correct fare.
Sounds like they will charge the maximum amount when you tap-in, and then credit you back if you get off before crossing zone. So for most riders, there is no need to tap out.
yep there would be peer pressure but we shouldn't count on it ...
there are different types of people in the bus....as a girl taking bus...i wouldn't want to mess around with others...
cant people just tap (for the cheaper fair) and still stay on the bus?

well unless it's an empty bus, other ppl will look at you...
yeap peer pressure. I will sure be the one to confront someone who tap and NOT get off the bus.
