ONTARIO

- The Falls are as magnificent as ever, but you'll want to discover what's new at Niagara Parks: the revamped Maid of the Mist attraction, run by Hornblower Cruises, the 100th anniversary of the Whirlpool Aero Car, an upcoming zipline attraction at the brink of the Falls and a commitment from five of Niagara Parks' restaurants to use at least 25% local product in their kitchens.

- In Toronto, the eclectic Nuit Blanche festival will be celebrating 10 years in October, the historic Omni King Edward Hotel has completed a $40 million renovation and the TIFF Bell Lightbox has unveiled a major fall exhibit with a celebrity twist: more than 800 artworks and artifacts are on display, including Andy Warhol's personal memorabilia and a Marilyn Monroe tapestry.

NOVA SCOTIA

- Across the province of Nova Scotia, discover new attractions like the Black Loyalist Heritage Centre in Birchtown, 4 km of new trails at Glasgow Lakes Extension, a new golf course at Cabot Cliffs and the re-opening of theCanadian National Immigration Museum at Pier 21 with double the exhibit space.

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

- Chef Michael Smith purchased and re-opened the Inn at Bay Fortune in his home province in June. The four-and-a-half star property features 17 guest rooms and a restaurant with a menu designed by the Chef himself. Smith had worked at the inn early in his career and filmed "The Inn Chef" cooking program at Bay Fortune.

NEW BRUNSWICK

- In 2017, New Brunswick will finish work on a highway from St. Martins to Fundy National Park, a 60 km route that will be similar to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia and is the last major stretch of undeveloped coastline north of Florida.
