How come there are fewer shops selling Chinese CD and DVD? Like what happened to the shop selling CD and DVD at Lansdowne Mall?

save time + save money + save earth (less trash) > disk

I guess its too bad that there are some people out there who are willing to pay for cds because of the better audio quality and that is it sometimes the only LEGAL way to obtain music?

Actually I don't see a lot of CD shops in HK as well..  HMV seems to be the biggest, but just a handful of branches.

The reason is margin really slim. The gross profit is 5% at most. Even you see some movie sell like hot cake, if a single DVD is leftover and doesn't sold, it will take the gross profit of another 20  ...

In HK, China and other parts of Asia, there are still lots of singers who can sing well. Those who say only NA people can sing should broaden their knowledge.

not worth to buy......
just look as those so-called Stars in HK...

Well...I have a S-video out cable from computer to TV ...so all the video inside computer can be watched on TV. Quality is good. If TVB charges $2 per episode for me to download, I'll pay. But if I go renting, I have to WAIT for a week or two for the episodes. So I just can't find a reason to rent. TVB TV is free to watch in HK anyways.. But yeah..I'm not saying that it's right to do. Songs...I did't download much, even if I did, I'll buy (the good ones) to support the copyright. Movie..hm...I also buy movie DVD, mostly English ones. But I do own Initial D, "Tau ming jong", "mo garn dou" etc. And I rent the smaller production of the Chinese movies as well.

A & B Sounds used to be a popular place. But now I just hardly remember when is my last time visit the shop.

people do direct http download now........CD has no future......I think it is time for the industry to make changes.....
