嘮叨查問入境旅客關員故意拖機場排長龍

為自己利益而擾民!

【明報專訊】海關人員為了抗議資方在合約談判上表現不積極，昨日在溫哥華國際機場故意按章工作，向過關旅客「開刀」，每名旅客被關員問更多問題，平時海關平均以30至45分鐘處理一班客機旅客的過關手續，延長為平均90至120分鐘，有旅客更大吐苦水表示等了3個鐘頭才可過關，對關員的行動極度不滿。

工會代表透露，不排除美加邊境的關員在這個周末也會採取類似行動，每部汽車的過關時間，可能由平均的15秒大幅度拉長至4分鐘，邊境可能會出現車龍；此外也有關員聲言不向任何通關人士抽稅，將所有人放行。

海關及稅務工會(Customs Excise Union)與加拿大邊境服務局(Canadian Border Services Agency)的合約談判一直不順利，工會在沒有合約的情況下已經工作了一年多。

工會要求新合約的加薪幅度為3年加30%，指這是與其他執法單位看齊，但資方卻提出4年加5.4%，雙方立場南轅北轍。

工會發言人斯葛特(George Scott)表示，海關人員的忍耐力已經超過了極限，需要公開表達他們的不滿。他將過關時間大幅度延長歸咎於資方，指摘邊境服務局在過去一年談判時的不積極態度，是導致工會忍無可忍的主因。

「按本子辦事」宣洩不滿

他說，工會仍未到達合法罷工的階段，因此工會指昨日的行動並非罷工手段，也不算是「工業行動」，而是「按本子辦事」。斯葛特強調，關員的行動是合法的，他說：「他們所做的並非違法的事情，他們只是向旅客問更多的問題，而這是在他們的權力範圍內的。」

工會發言人諾伊曼(Sue Neumann)稱，海關官員「非常仔細地」檢查和盤問過關乘客，關員只是執行工作範圍內的每一個細節。她說，平時一班客機旅客的過關時間通常是30至45分鐘，但現在旅客要等上90至120分鐘。

if really, no tax. i dont mind waiting. but for it to increase 30% for three yr. thats 10% per yr. thats crazy. what ever example u ppl ar using is just few of thousand of things ppl spend their money on. you are not looking at the big picture.

加國海關為抽稅可謂無所不用其極。未來日子應該會進行探肛以及超聲波檢驗。

If oil price drop, will their salary follow to drop?

Gas is only one of rising example. How much the translink ticke has trised in this three years? if Translink increased 10% only, should they follow? If my house rise a double in last three years, should everyone salary increased a double?

if they like to increase 30%, why not through negotiation, or changed to another job? Tourist are innocent to be 'played' by Customs
