最 莫 名 其 妙 的 ， 是 節 目 中 提 出 三 人 餐 聚 AA 制 後 ， 「 詭 異 的 一 鎊 」 消 失 了 ─ ─ 這 疑 問 ， 十 幾 個 受 訪 者 撓  頭 答 不 出 。
（ 一 ） 三 人 餐 畢 ， 帳 單 是 廿 五 鎊 ， 於 是 各 掏 出 十 鎊 ， 合 共 三 十 鎊 付 予 侍 應 。
（ 二 ） 侍 應 把 盤 子 端 回 ， 找 回 五 鎊 零 錢 。 三 人 各 自 拿 一 鎊 ， 剩 下 兩 鎊 是 小 費 ， 很 合 理 。
（ 三 ） 問 題 來 了 ： 原 付 三 十 鎊 ， 給 侍 應 的 小 費 兩 鎊 ， 三 十 減 二 是 廿 八 。 而 各 人 拿 回 一 鎊 後 付 出 應 為 九 鎊 ， 三 九 二 十 七 ─ ─ 一 鎊 到 底 哪 兒 去 了 ？

If you are going to pay just 8 % tips ....  I dont think you can leave the resturant la..  lol ..

I remember it was the question from my P3 school ...  

So .. 2x yr ago ..   8% tips was still reasonable ...  

If it happens today ..  $25 bill, pay $28-30 is more reasonable la...

Your question was faulty to begin with
why would you subtract the tips instead of the money returned to the payers

each person paid $9, $25 goes to the meal and $2 as tips = $27
each person pull out  a dollar = $3
$3 + $27 = $30

cuz u don't calculate it that way. what you had to pay was $25 + $2 and not $30 -$2.  what they paid was exactly correct. 3 x (10-1) = 27 = 25 + 2.
