as of now, the Grizzlies are in the 8th spot in the Western conference...not that it's saying much since it's still very early in the season.
i think the Spurs r in trouble until Ginobli gets back...Duncan and Parker cant be playing mins like that in order for them to get a win, like they did last night, esp when it's only against the T-Wolves...
1. Baron Davis is 31, if he doesn't get his retirement fund (long term contract) now... he'll never get it...
2. Lakers have no money to dish out due to for cap reasons... they need money to resign Bynum and Gasol... and many up and coming young bench players... they might even go into the 2010 FA market...
3. Lakers have a leader in Kobe... and then another in Fisher... they don't need another "leader"...
4. Davis will hog the ball... making Kobe unhappy...
Davis is happy anyways...
1. he gets to play in LA (his hometown)... and he knows the Lakers won't sign him...
2. he gets his retirement fund from the Clippers
3. he can always complain and sob... then the Clips will trade him to a contender... i doubt he'll live out his contract with the Clippers...
