【明報專訊】溫哥華「煙花大匯演」主辦單位日前宣布經費不足，今年煙花節停辦，不過有本地組織發起拯救煙花節活動，並成立savethefireworks.ca網站募款，至昨天晚上為止，籌到6200多元。

「煙花大匯演」已經連續在溫哥華英吉利灣(English Bay)舉行了18年，自從2001年起，由於煙商退出贊助，令到每一年都面臨財政緊張，所幸到最後都能夠籌到400萬元，讓這個大溫地區在夏天最盛大的活動能夠順利舉行，今年受到金融海嘯的衝擊，主辦單位在上個月宣布今年停辦，雖然已經落實大部分的贊助商，但仍短缺數十萬元。

不過，有本地組織不想見到「煙花大匯演」從此消失，於是發起網上募捐活動，呼籲公眾踴躍捐款，讓今年夏天仍然有煙花照亮溫哥華的夜空。該組織成立的網站，至昨天晚上，已籌到6200多元。

主辦單位還在這個星期四舉行一場水上說明會，向公眾傳遞募款的訊息，目標是40萬元，讓這個溫哥華的傳統能夠繼續下去。

放煙花一啲都唔環保，香港更差，年年都放到爆晒燈！

如果有一年唔放, 之後香港o係果一年有乜野問題既話, 政府都比人插的...
不過, 睇左咁多年煙花, 小弟一早睇到厭啦, 放唔放都冇所謂lu.
