I didn't know till aunt told me...
that the crabs have to be beyond a specific size.... for you to take it home
otherwise you'll have to let it go

The regulation is printed on the crab catching permit you need to buy.
After all, it is recreational even you have to let go some of the undersized one.

I've never try myself but I spent lot of hours watching.
Those amateur lo-fans just lower the crabtraps from the pier,
go for beer and picnic, return after a few hours and lift up the
crabtraps to gather their harvest. Looks simple to me...... but what do I know?
