Not to confuse everyone,  for my previous posting, I mean Tojo's not Yoshi. I never been to Yoshi and I would like to try if it is good. I can't edit it because it's over 30 mins

It is not worth the price. I heard about this restaurant for a while and decide to try on a special occasion. Pick the $80 dinner. The cost of ingredient at most $20 (only serve tuna and little bit other seafood, not even UNI) The cooking technique is not special, most Japanese cook is able to make it. May be one dish I enjoy but I would pay $40 for the service plus the five courses. I think I will create a new link hoping people will review these OMAKASE type of Japanese to prevent rip-off

Some people feel Yoshi on Denman is very good, but more reasonably priced.

i've dined in shijo japanese restaurant for several times many years ago. the food was very good and expensive, but i don't know how it is now

I read most of the comments
most ppl complains about the services. I think real jap restaurants charge very expensive. I wouldnt mind paying if the service and food are good, but if the service is bad, then....

Overpriced and Over-rated
This restaurant is overpriced and over-rated. On top of that, chef/owner Tojo was arrogant, insulting, and condescending.
The restaurant's interior design was a bit dated and ...

there is a way to express our opinion when paying the bill
first, no tips, not even one cent. Also, use pennies, dimes, nickels (not even quarters) for the last dollar that you have to pay in the bill
