Check if you are being followed before heading home

This kind of warning never gets old, but happened to me tonight:
I was driving home alone, very boringly at 60km/h. I was checking the mirror and saw there was an CRV (2005-2007) following me. I changed lane, it changed lane. I varied my speed between 50 to 90, it did the same. I even tried to cut in front of another car, it tried to do the same. Sound fishy there right? Definitely not a cop because my detector was not even alerting at all.
As I turned into the street where my house is, it followed me for at least 2 corners. I kept driving, until I turned at a corner then stopped right after the corner. The CRV then had to drive by me, it then stopped as soon as it was out of my sight, behind some trees. I felt something was wrong there so I immediately turned off all lights (yes, I can disable all exterior lights in my car), made a quick U-Turn, drove back on my driveway (in pitch black). I turned the car off, pull back my seat, and waited if the CRV would start looking.
1 min passed, the CRV drove slowly, seemed like looking for something, and eventually drove by my home. As soon as it was gone, I opened the garage, started the car, parked it and closed the door. Before I headed in, I waited for at least 2 mins and the CRV was no where to be seen.
Just a reminder for all, before you get into your driveway or open your house door, check to see if you are followed. When the situation allows, be unpredictable (drive very agressively or stop without warning or vary speed) and observe. Especially when close to home, it's easy to use the neighborhood layout as an advantage, my follower did a very poor job to begin with and lost me at the end.
Finally, go watch the TV show "24" because it will teach you what you need to know about following someone and losing someone when followed!!
Be safe.
