Kudos to Google for exercising corporate responsibility. Just goes to show that money isn't everything in this world, even when it comes to business.

Of course, I'm sure the fact that Google couldn't crack the stranglehold Baidu has on the Chinese market has something to do with this as well.

I can hardly believe this news is true. Does anyone have the same news from other source or google itself?

It is becasue I don't believe Google will give up its business in China for the sake of 中國維權人士. It is a public company and the benefits of its shareholders is the first priority but not the 中國維權人士.
