Has anyone successfully invited their relative to Canada for a visit?

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help me with this.

I am writing a letter to invite my relative for a 2 month visit so she can apply for a temp visa.
The CIC website has point form of what is require on the Letter of Invitation.
Some people said I should submit my tax return, my employment letter and bank letter stating my saving/deposits.
Some people said one piece of letter is good enough with or without notarization from a notary public.

I have all that is required on the letter. (e.g. the required items in the list)
Do I need to provide anything more with my letter?

The sample letters on the internet varies. So I'm quite lost on what to do next.
