VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - It was a busy night for police around the Lower Mainland. Officers in Vancouver are now investigating the city's seventh homicide of 2011.
Police were called out to an apartment building on Vernon Drive at Frances Street in East Vancouver. When officers got there they found the body of a man and an injured woman.
They don't know how the man was killed. The woman was arrested but taken to hospital first for treatment. The victim's identity has not been confirmed as an autopsy is being scheduled for the next couple of days.
There were nine homicides in all of 2010 and 18 in 2009 in Vancouver.
Meantime, Surrey Mounties have arrested one man after a stabbing. It happened on City Parkway and 104 Ave. A fight broke out between the two men. It's unclear if they knew each other.
There's no word on the victim's condition. |
