    If I have regular intelligent kids, I would move to Vancouver too.  The rat race is good for some very smart kids, but it's not for everyone.

None of them have kid yet. But they do plan to have kids soon. So I think they don't want their children to grow up there.

HK is the place for the "smart" kids only.  If your kids are not so smart, it is very hard for them to survive there.  You have to keep "smart" all the time, if not, you will be kicked out right away.

Vancouver seems to be more "laid back" than HK, we could survive comparatively.
