I was looking to get lunch at Robson Street today and I walked into this New GyuDonYa. It is a japanese 牛肉飯 place like 吉野家 in Japan. Even their menu look like them actually. So I tried a bowl and it taste really good. Just like what I had at 松屋 for my Japan trip 2 years ago. And is only around $5, better then having McDonald.
They sell Beef rice, I saw chicken bowl, curry bowl.....something like that. I will go try other stuff next time since I work in Downtown. But Beef bowl is Cheapest.
I just went there this afternoon about 4pm and paid $5 for parking hoping to try my favorite Gyudon. I was so excited as I was a bit hungry. I was so disappointed as they were closed for today for some unknown reasons. There were many people inside the kichen and the dining area but there all seems to be busy with something. Then I saw the owner of the Korean restautant (Cho Sun Korean Restaurant) were also inside GyuDonYa. It looks like he was running the show there. Anyhow, I was really disappointed and ended up at H-Mart food fair for a BiBimBap and DdukBokKi
