I was in my friend’s car yesterday, dropping off another friend to catch a plane.  When we reached the top of the ramp (upper level, Departure), we were stopped by police officers (together with a few cars, Taxis included).  We were told that we were speeding at 40 km/hr., up the ramp, which had a limit of 20 km/hr.  They said that it should be $350.00 fine, however, base on the driver’s clean record of my friend, he was penalized for $138.00 instead.

I don’t know whether that sign was new or the speed limit was reduced recently.  There were lots of drivers caught by surprise.  Please be careful next time you go to the airport.

The airport up ramp to the departures area has always had that ridiculous 20kph speed limit, and the sign has been there for many years. It's just that nobody complied with such a ridiculous speed limit, and authorities have not been enforcing it all that much.

I wonder how long the enforcement measures will last...

最後全部收 ticket,  o的人當然向 city of richmond 投訴啦
但都好無耐, 唯有硬食啦
兩個禮拜後條街先動D no parking 既 sign

That 20km/h sign has been there ever since the new airport was built. no one bothers to look at it.

drivers caught by surprise?? those are just non frequent flyers.

every one works in the airport knew that sign exsists
