中国x眾

i saw a passat today, at the trunk, just below the model name "PASSAT", i saw the words "中国x眾", does it mean the car is made by wv and "中国x眾",  i don't know what is the third word.

It should be 中國大眾. In German, Volkswagen means "people's car", therefore it is called 大眾.

From some civic .. corolla .. etc ..

With 中國XX  中國XX ..or Canton Honda/Toyota etc ..

China is now the largest car manufacturing country in the world.
But I think someone just stick the Chinese name on his car.

Volkswagen is a very well-established brand in China, and a lot of Mainland Chinese continue to view Volkswagen favourably when they are here in Vancouver. The name tag is a just a little customization to individualize their car je.

Then again, if I were one of them, I definitely wouldn't want my Volkswagen to be identified as a vehicle owned by a Mainland Chinese law. The extra attention and the public perception of rich Mainlanders may very well cause car theives to break in or jack the car for valuables...

Just like some people love to put a HK plate on their car ..  or whatever HK sticker ..

Some put HONDA logo on Acura, (or the other way around)

Lots of rice boys put Japanese plates on their cars .. (and they actually paid high price to buy them!)

I used to put a German plate on my car too ...  (I got few HK plates ..  but never put them on .. )

A German plate on German car is cool... I actually like the shape more...anyway.

Some people like to stick the HKJC badge in the front grill too...
