中國富豪怕捐款拒見蓋茨 (12:07)

微軟創辦人蓋茨和股神巴菲特邀50名中國富豪出席聚會，但部分富豪擔心當場被要求承諾捐款，婉拒邀約。

蓋茨和巴菲特將於9月29日到訪中國，游說中國富豪加入他們的「慈善聯盟」。

據《重慶晚報》報道，負責籌辦聚會的蓋茨中國基金會表示，聚會將在北京的豪華酒店舉行，屆時約50名受邀的中國富豪，將參加蓋茨和巴菲特的「閉門私人聚會」。

蓋茨基金中國項目主任葉雷表示，在發出邀請後，「有一小部分人最後拒絕了參加聚會」。近十天以來，受邀請的人反應不一，「但絕大多數人都打來電話確認，是否會在現場被要求作出捐贈承諾。」

葉雷說，「他們最擔心的恐怕是在現場感到難堪。」

據指出，獲邀出席聚會的中國富豪名單中，絕大多數是財富排名靠前，且對慈善事業態度積極或正在做相關慈善事業的大陸富豪，也有部分是沒有出現在財富榜中的「隱形富豪」。

蓋茨和巴菲特今年6月發起「捐身家」運動，勸使美國億萬富豪公開承諾，在生前或身故後捐出部分財產。

之後，巴菲特和蓋茨親自游說「福布斯」排行榜上400名美國億萬富翁。截至8月初，40名美國億萬富豪承諾，將至少一半身家捐出做善事。

巴菲特和蓋茨的游說雄心未歇，兩人計劃於本月前往中國，繼續游說大陸富豪捐款。

中國大陸發咗都唔會過得十分好, 又要討好 D 官, otherwise as you say, gotta smuggle their cash out to the free world to spend.

西方世界發咗, 食好著好 waste the world's resource for the whole past century. Chinese people merely got started, and you tell them to donate their life's worth of sweat away. 問心講, 叫你 donate half your net worth out 又好唔好? Different story if you have been living well your whole life, got a couple Billion in the bank account for as long as you remember, and then donate half of your net worth out... esp since you wont' be able to spend all of the money despite the best effort anyways...

Gate and Buffet 又係既. Forbes top wealthiest 都到過, 要 D $ 都無用啦, of course donate it and leave an even greater name. 未到 Forbes top 既, wanna keep their money to get a higher placement 一 D 都唔算過.

People in western countries got rich and enjoyed for a long time already. The Chinese just got started and should be allowed to enjoy as much as they want. These western tycoons should stop imposing their own standards on other people.

Even in the US only a small percentage agreed to Bill Gates's proposal to donate half their money. What type of mindset is this?

How about the Canadian tycoons and those in India, Russia etc, are they supporting Bill Gates proposal?

I believe in most Chinese millionaires' mind, 10% is the max... And they think it's "ultra" generous already.
