[日本料理] 竹地 - 好x唔掂 long

Was planning to go to 虎連坊, but on the way we saw 竹地, and someone in my car insisted to try that place instead.  竹地 has been opened for long long time, and I've never been to there.  I thought, hmm, it has survived for so long, it shouldn't be too bad right?

Tried it for the first time and... HOLY YUCK!

- no salmon toro (belly), out of negitoro roll (no toro? or no onion? com'on)

- menu is DIRTY with soya sauce stains, WTF (and boring,  nothing special)

- salmon sashimi,  thick cut, bad quality (similar to Samurai's)

- shredded radish are stale, weird taste.

- ultra ugly 慳電膽 in white made the food looks very bad and non-appetising

- unprofessional waitress: loud chat loud laugh at the back, hold hands like they're chilling at the mall.  They'd just put down dishes without tell you what they are, and just said, "嚟..."

- unprofessional chef: no hat no nothing, I don't want hair on my food man! say lang jai x 2, put on a paper hat!

- there were a stack of extra plates at the end of the table, weird!  I moved them to the next table, and the waitress took them back to our table.  WTF.  Obviously your customers don't want them occupied the space, why gave them back!?

- follow up to the point above: I was puzzled why put extra plates there, and felt offended to have the plates returned after I moved them away.  After some fish bones were left on the plate, a waitress came and switched our plates with those clean ones.  Why can't they bring the plate over when plate changing is needed??  One of us was still 'working' on a piece of fish, the waitress just WAIT there for a good 20 seconds for that person's plate.  What a rude act! that was like she was thinking, "are you done yet with that??"   WTF

- spider roll: only 4 pcs, no legs poking out, only tiny body.  The 2 pcs at the ends have almost no "spider". WTF  

- chopped scallop roll: tiniest size (think cheap cheap 青瓜卷), can only taste the mayo. The tiniest chopped scallop roll I've ever seen. WTF

- Udon quality is of the worse quality.  All soft and bloated.


My gosh, 竹地, I will NEVER return in my lifetime!

sorry don't know where 自動洗狗 is >.<" I will make sure not going to 竹地 next time....
oh ya O.o the tip isn't included into the bill is it because some restaurant  include tips in the bill now...

I went there once like 2 weeks ago too..  
Here's what I notice:

1) When you first walk in the door, there is dolls everywhere, like Winnie the Pooh dolls, 3-4 of them sitting on the seat where people sit to wait for a table, about 6-8 at the bar, etc.  How un-professional.

2) There is BAGS of groceries on the bar, like they just went shopping at T&T, just sitting there.

3)This lady came out wearing rubber gloves, like she just washed dishes at home, took them off, throw them on the bar and go "Wai, GAI DOR WAI AH" in Cantonese, I go "2 wai", and she took us to this table.

4) Yes, the table is sticky, the soya sauce bottle is sticky, there is people running around talking really loud Chinese, I totally feel like eating at some cheap cheap Chinese restaurant.

5) Food is just OK, the same kind I can get anywhere.  Not cheap too, with the way they run, you would have thought it was a mom&pa shop with cheap food.  

Just to say, I am NOT going back anymore.

There are so many expensive Chinese restaurants, unlike this cheap Japanese restaurant.
