Librazhy:  I only took 2 pic and call it for a day.  As yesterday in Burrand station was just a dull overcast day (me rather shoot Sunny 12 o'clock light).

I put a lot of lipstick to make it looks nice, but you got to like Lightroom 3. I show you the original later.

The difference is like night & day, definitely like the result

I wish I have light room software

the difference is not night & day

the lens is still the same
the composition is still the same
the depth of field is still the same
the light is still the same

Sorry it was Lightroom 2.5.  Student price for Lightroom 3 was $100. It is on sales if watch.

Cowboy:  The corp/tone is diff.  I am trying to go for the Chinese painting look here.

Remeber I read somewhere Ansel said his photos have little to do with reality.

Ansel Adams did do a lot of darkroom work.  In general i am not that interested in landscape so I don't really care much about his landscape work.  I guess for landscape, darkroom work is critical because that's how you make ur photos stand out among a bunch of peers.  But for the type of stuff I do, pretty much every shot is not replicable so it's really the emotion and the moment that makes a difference.

Lightroom came with the M9 but I don't really use it at all.  No matter what you do, you are not gonna reproduce the same kind of quality German glass gives you.

I dont' remember the last time I cropped a photo - maybe 6 months ago.  Once you get used to certain angles and you use the same lenses over and over again, you would frame it exactly the way you want pretty much every time.
