技術未完善 新車不如舊款
由美國市場調查公司所作的二○一一年度新車品質報告顯示，今年出廠的全新型號或改版汽車，所出現的問題比去年上升一成，反映部分汽車質素新不如舊。報告指問題多與車廠引進多媒體和省油的新技術有關，提醒車廠不應「未學行先學走」。
市場調查公司J.D. Power早前訪問美國約七萬八千名車主，詢問他們購入今年出廠新車首九十天內遇上的問題，發現全新型號或改版汽車的表現差強人意，平均每一百輛車出現一百二十二個問題，數字比去年增加一成。

車主指新技術不易用
報告指車主提出的投訴，普遍與車上的多媒體科技如免提或聲控裝置有關。部分車主認為新技術不如期望般容易使用，有時甚至不能正常運作。此外，不少車廠竭力改變車輛設計，達到節省汽油的目標，但反而導致引擎或變速器出問題。

調查顯示道奇（Dodge）、鈴木（Suzuki）和三菱（Mitsubishi）車系今年的新車出現最多問題，而表現最好的是凌志（Lexus）、本田（Honda）和極品（Acura）三大車系。報告又提到福特（Ford）由去年排名第五，大幅下跌至第二十三名。J.D. Power的汽車調查主管費斯特金（Raffi Festekjian）指，福特推出新產品時過於急進，導致車輛品質較市場平均差，引擎和新聲控系統的軟件均出現問題。

J.D. Power全球研究部副總裁薩金特（David Sargent）表示，不少顧客買車時會被新科技吸引，車廠渴望利用新技術促銷亦屬正常。然而他認為車廠必須在引進新技術，和提供可靠的汽車之間取得平衡，確保新技術已成熟才可引進。

港汽車電子故障多
至於本港汽車情況，香港汽車修理同業商會副理事長廖強表示，近年的汽車品質確有下降趨勢，但主要是電子故障，例如避震系統及電子軚盤等。另由於香港的地理環境影響，車路較短、交通燈號較多，汽車的自動變速器亦容易出現損耗。

It is the direction ...  cutting cost ..  more and more cars made in US/Canada/Mexico/Brazil ...

Yeah .. car experts not = management ..  

Good engineering .. not mean less problem ..  

Just use TVB as example, why do they need to produce good shows ..  when people are watching them anyway? they rather cut down their cost, spend less on QC ..

Say Ford .. last few yrs, they did some great job on improving their quality, and when people saw the result, more and more Ford were sold ..  once they make more cars, more new model ..  quality drops ..  

Toyota/Honda etc ..  not ding that great last few yrs, as their sale has dropped a lots, and not much new models ..  so they can make less car, less new toys, but better quality again .. (RX/GX etc new model were out few yr ago .. )
