扁貪污無罪邱毅「非常震驚」 票, 今天

台灣的前總統陳水扁涉國務費、南港、洗錢等案，台灣高院今天「更一審」宣判。扁被控國務費案貪污部分，改判無罪，其他部分，判「應執行刑」2年8月。妻子吳淑珍，判「應執行刑」11年6月。

國民黨立委邱毅以「非常震驚」形容。他強調，這案是扁家貪污案中最明確、最鐵證如山的案子，他表示，「法官已經將靈魂交給了魔鬼」。

邱毅指出，這案當初是由他所舉發，當時上千張的發票由他交給了檢察官陳瑞仁，當時，扁家用假發票詐領國務機要費。

他強調，如果陳水扁的國務機要費案無罪，如果拿假發票領國務機要費，這不叫貪污，那麼所有在監獄中，因為貪污罪而被關的公務員都可以申請出獄了。

For every isolated continents (e.g. Ireland, Australia, etc.), independance always has market, which is quite normal (just like UK won't consider themselves as part of Europe)...

BTW, what do you think about the judgement for Ex-President Chan corruption case?

Honestly speaking, I cannot  even claim to be sure about what the truth and reality is in this case. It looks to me that it is somewhat in a black box which is politically corrupted.

One obvious sign is different judges with different political background and position will have a very different or conflicting view on the same case.

I personally believe 阿扁 had committed financial corruption and he had admitted himself. But I don’t have confident in Taiwan’s justice system and its judges.

Not Guilty? That is a joke to me. What a good way to encourage corruption.

The first thing to achieve... no corruptions!

Haven't been following this particular case in much detail. Is the verdict determined by a jury or the judge alone? Additionally, where is the high court located?

One problem with the Taiwanese justice system is, political bias can very easily exist because both the folks that make up the jury and the judges themselves are decidedly either in the blue or green camp. As such, typically both the verdicts and the sentencing reflect this political bias.

They want, but they won't... As Rocky point out this time, justice system lays the foundation for the prosperity of HK today and the future... It's a matter of fact affecting people's confident and the very best to demonstrate "one nation - two systems". There is nothing else left over HKer's can be proud of these days, justice system remains superior...

If there is a need, Grandfather will do it. The Congo examples I mentioned in a different thread already illustrate that. Previous instances of 人大釋法 have also significantly damaged HK's justice system.

Grandfather is destroying yet another cornerstone of HK's foundation...
