Calling all the skiers and snowbroaders, wake up.
I know it wasn't a good season so far since we didn't have much snow up at local mountain. But things could change this week.
How's your season going? And how many rocks you hit?
I have been to Whistler 5th times this season and I can't remember how much I hate rocks. LOL.
Interior all has good snow right now from what I heard. Whistler will be getting 15cm tonight and tomorrow will be packed with powder tracer. Too bad I can't go tomorrow but will be there Sunday.
Cypress only have both mountains opened like a day ago. Grouse, they push all the snow together to create a narrow path (their usual way). Seymour, only the beginner area and 1 run opened.
Whistler, most groom runs are fully covered thx for snowmaking. The lower mountain runs are icy mixed with man-made snow, i.e. no fun. Staying high up is the only way to go. Whistler bowl, Symphony, snow is good but impossible not to hit a rock eventually. All the off groom area are full of rocks.

was snowing hard today!!!! phew, I was so worried about the snow this year!
My last 2 visits last month was like snowboarding in the spring, really slushy and some spots not covered with snow.....
and now they finally opened up the other green run, soon we will have sky chair opened too
Snow depth went from 60 cm up to 111cm in 3 days!
my only complain is the fog (which is always seen at local mountains)
With no new snow for whole week, the snow condition at Whistler was better then I expected yesterday. More runs are in ski-able conditions, but few spots were still easy to hit rocks. Snow was nice packed on the upper mountain. Anything on the lower half of the mountain, expect to meet icy surface with piled up man-made snow.
Whoever want to join us for some runs at Whistler, we go every Sunday as day-trip. Newcomers are all welcome. Come out and have some snow fun, who knows how long this winter will last. Our group has such a variety in skill (beginner to expert), age (1x-6x). So I'm sure you will have some fun with us all.
