They do that there ALL the time at night, my detector will usually go off right after the light, then I hard brake from 80ish, and a few cars who passed me got pulled over. I love to pull this stunt all the time at night after 10.

Just a decent radar detector for my casual leisure driving on clear streets. Saved me many times from getting caught in US and Canada.

I was one yesterday near the westminster hwy at end of the knight street bridge.  The car behind me got pulled over.
