剪指甲安全法：

1。find a 指夾拑。較剪。銼。鋸。etc。depends on the size of your 指甲。
2。find your 指甲。hold them in mid air or rest them on flat surfaces like your knee。
3。put your body in a firm and secure position preferably on a flat land that isnt moving too rapidly。
4。look at your 指甲 and decide which one you want to 剪。
5。pick up your 指甲拑 with your other hand。hold it with thumb and index finger（and or other fingers as you see fit)。
6。position your 指甲 in between the 2 blades。
7。decide how much of your 指甲 has to be removed。
8。apply force gradually with your fingers into the lever.
9。watch your undesirable 指甲 being removed。
10。beware of 指甲 flying into your eyes or others。
11。repeat step 6 to 9 until your desired goal is achieved。switch hands if necessary。
12。consult a First Aid Kit if too much bleeding occurs。

Having a helper who isn't afraid of your rabbit is best. If you are going at it alone, don't fear. It can be done. Let's start by gathering all of the items needed.

Step 2Hold your rabbit in a way that you both are comfortable. I reccommend cradling him until he is calm. With a few drops of water, gently seperate the fur from his nails as to examine the nails.

Step 3Determine the type of nail your rabbit has. It the nails are pink and the tips are white, you are to only cut the white part. The pink is called the 'quick' and if cut, will cause moderate to severe bleeding and even infection. If the nails are dark, Use the flashlight to find the quick so you will know how far to cut.

Step 4Begin to clip the nails(starting with the front paws), one by one making smooth, firm cuts. Speak softly to your rabbit if he seems nervous, offer treats if necessary. If you happen to cut the quick, put styptic powder (kwik stop, cornstarch or flour) on the nail and soothe your rabbit. Cutting the quick can be painful, but your rabbit will be ok in a few days.

Step 5After you are done, offer you rabbit cardboard to file his nails if there are any rough edges. I find allowing the rabbit to do is is better than filing yourself, but it is up to you.
