Depending on where you live in Hong Kong, property prices are actually be quite affordable. But here the prices are still high even if we are in a recession. If you need to buy a car here than it is even more expenses than in HK. As for food and clothing, you can always buy the cheap stuffs whether in HK or Vancouver..

How come you people don't 回流 back to Hong Kong?

I have been here since 1993 ... can't  ...

If I'm poor, I will choose to go back to HK to 搏一搏, spend some time to find a job to see whether I can find a job better than what I made here.
I'm staying here, not because I'm rich, just I'm lucky to get a rather stable job here and made enough (just enough) to survive. 發達？冇諗過。Even though I may make more in HK, the working hour must be longer, stress level is higher, not worth it.
