We want LYK boards to be a welcoming, as politically-appropriate forum as possible. While we tolerate individual poster's political differences and such, we expect posters to behave on a public forum and respect each other for the differences. Shouting wars are not tolerated, and any postings that bears hints of underlying political agendas deemed inappropriate (racial/political intolerance) will be dealt with accordingly.
You guys only get part of the reason... rick roll'd is invented to troll people that any video clip when it reaches the climax it will suddenly become "Never gonna give you up" music video. I forgot was it 4chan or ebaum's world started the rickroll'd meme. Actually most of the viral stuffs (from lolcats to chocolate rain and rebecca black, etc) and even anonymous movements are all started from those sites. Recently some meme are from nico nico douga (Japanese's Youtube) such as Miku Hatsune's flash/music and Nyan Cat.
Since most of LYK members are immigrants who never experienced mainstream culture so it's not a surprise to me that no one gets it here.

Some of these internet meme ended up being called internet bullying and some are NSFW... HOWEVER, some creative people ended up making a really entertaining show out of all these viral stuffs that is PG rated for family fun.
