as us twese would say
秀秀~ it's okay~
realistically speaking ~ you're 30? you have only high school educaiton?
Toppy's suggestion was probably the best I've seen in this thread...
you do need education..(never thought i'd suggest this to anyone... since i hate school)
it might not teach you much of anything that's useful on the job... but without that people won't even bother with hiring you..
of course if you don't mind min wage job like waiting on table, fast food places, then that's another thing
but if you want to have somewhat of a career then you need to go back to school
even if it's just to go to VCC or something to get vocational trainings and get certificates~
those will all help
realistically speaking..... you're only a high school grad... or even if you had some university.... u probably spend 6 or 7 years of the last decade of your life doing.... i don't know what you did....
but anyways~ something to think about... and if you want help with resume~ my pm box is still empty XD
if you're serious about getting a job~ i'm willing to help
but if you're just here to get attention.. then i'm sorry for my bs
If you don't get any call back or interview then you should seriously think about getting some more education/training, not necessaryly university but something short and easy like a janitorial, food safe, resume/cover letter, Word/Excel, BST for security or even driver's license would be a big help in some cases. Better than sitting at home and complaining.
study might be a better option for him but it costs money and time.
Tiffiant, I am only sharing my own experience with you. My wife is currently studying the Aromatherapy and it was quite expensive. She wanted to improve herself too. However, in the mean time she also went to bubble tea place to work. Even it was a min. wage job, my wife like to mix drink and in the future, we might open our own tea place or something. A goal to work for so we do not mind it's only min. wage job.
If you do not get any reply from your interview, that could mean that your resume did not target the job you applied for. For the bubble tea place, I rewrote my wife's resume within 10 minutes and focus it on drink industry and wola, she got the job.
You cannot write one resume and mail to everyone with the same resume. I own a restaurant and I have received other's resume too.
that's what I have been saying in another topic too......
but he just think putting things in section by section would make a perfect resume and HE HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG
whlie I had been trying to point out why not putting more effort into making a better looking resume so that it's more eye-catching to employers
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD no one give me a job for interview

No one can understand you because we only know you from the forum here. We gather information from everything you posted.
You are saying.
1. You are looking for jobs that are 10 dollars and up.
2. You are looking for jobs that you can build up your career.
3. You are looking for job that does not requires any experience.
4. You do not have high education.
5. You send resume but no one replied.
6. You do not have friends here.
7. In your resume, you put sections by sections.
8. You look for job through craiglist and job bank.
9. You email your resume.
10. You assume some jobs that required some skill that you do not have such as security guide.
11. You think you are not handsome so they will not hire you.
does he even know how to write a cover letter? I wonder
I remember spending my whole night writing one until 3am in the morning. Luckily I did get a response and was being interviewed, then I got my student part time at ubc
First of all, if the job post comes with a contact phone number, phone them and ask for an interview before looking for email address to send.
Do you know how many people are applying those job that does not requires any experience? Thus, how many emails those employers received each day especially down time like now? Of course if your resume is not standing out, you will not get any reply.
