so even if you don't buy, and you rent, you may pay a couple hundred less a month, how 好洗 is that? i dont think 300 bucks more a month will suddenly turn a tight budget to an extravagant budget.....

Thank you for caring, but I never ask for your advice on whether it is good time for me to buy (i wouldn't want your advice based on people you know anyways.)

Car (gas and insurance) already in the calculation.
Medical care is from company.
Property tax $1200, that can be taken out from "saving".
So saving becomes $200, and Property tax $100.
$200 food is for dine in. If you eat out everyday, it's not healthy too.
The eat out can be part of the $300 "misc" expense.
If you consider can't eat out as non-comfortable lifestyle, then I have nothing to say la. It's purely different expectation. Buying a property wor...it's a huge purchase, and of course we need to restrict the expense a bit la. But still, with $300 to spend a month, I don't see it being uncomfortable at all.

Mental crack down again?  It was you who suggest that 60k is comfortable to buy 500sf in downtown.  Not me.  I never suggest/support to buy/rent in downtown with that salary.  So u admit that it is not 好洗 now?

car (gas and insurance) 300 wor... insurance 150 a month?  gas 150?  no car payment lor.

err... not talking about eating out everyday, just dine out once a while.....

A lot of companys don't cover MSP neh.  Only cover additional stuffs like medicine, glasses, dental... etc... u get my point.

Then you need to learn to read then.  7% is the average down payment.  So, what is the mortgage?

i dont think renting and having an extra 300 bucks will make a world of difference if you're not comfortable to start with... that's my point!
