I think the biggest issue with the logical analysis with the thread so far, is not distinguishing between what a certain religion is trying to sell, vs creationist theory in general.
It's very difficult to say that we can take Evolution as a fact, and Creation as a mere theory. Evolution is indeed also just a theory!
Tho, when someone of a certain religion approaches you and tells you to accept their 'God' as fact. This is when you can by certainty, say that there's almost no scientifically acceptable evidence what-so-ever to support the existence of this particular 'God'. A god, as a vague definition would allow, might exist. So far there's no way to disprove creationary theory all together, and that is why it is still a theory, albeit not a generally scientifically accepted one yet. However to take the existence of a particular 'God', as described by a certain particular religion, as fact, is definately beyond what logic allows. |
