The problem is you are drawing on your rather limited personal experience (limited because it's really, just a few sample point based on your own and experiences from people you know, who more likely resembles yourself than otherwise). With that, you are putting out vocal viewpoints and advices to fellow LYKs, who probably more resembles the typical Canadian than a rather well off individual like yourself.
There are a lot of statistics, reports, analysis and historical references out there that indicates Vancouver RE have more downside risk than upside potential. With affordability at 9x average (mean or median, forgot) income, it's THE most unaffordable city in the Western world. Historically all prices reverts to the mean. A lot of people under the influence of the euphoria thinks otherwise, but still, things never fails to revert to the mean. This loosely is the mechanics of a bubble, and the crash of such bubble. |
