well... i can tell that in general you have a pretty -ve image of Canadian...
Anyway, here is my thoughts

-- 夏天去打美式足球﹐冬天去滑雪
I would go ski too... If I am not afraid of the slope. I will see if can get over it. But doing outdoor activities are GREAT here. Not many canadian play footballs here (at least in Vancouver) but they do diff kinda outdoor stuffs. (beach volleyball, ultimate, golf, hiking, boating..etc)
AND CAMPING! I love camping and road trips. ^_^

-- 閒時看的聊的﹐都離不開冰上曲棍球
that's a common topic, same as weather and politics

-- 比較喜歡看電視肥皂劇﹐以及那些無聊的電視比賽節目
I don't watch much TV and I know that I don't have common TV topic with them. BUT cos I don't watch some shows... these shows don't become 無聊. Just different.

-- 喜歡整花園﹐也喜歡自己裝修家居﹐剪草等等
DIY is good! I love gardening too... just that I don't have a garden...

-- 聽見不好笑的事都笑一大餐
funny or not... is different to you and to them. I am sure they won't laught at "Stephen Chow's jokes" even if we did an acturate translation to them.

-- 假日無聊地扶老攜幼到處逛商場
I think it's common in every country... HK, here...etc BUT I really dont' like the mall...

-- 多數唔同上一代住﹐所以加拿大特別多獨居老人
I don't live with my parents. What's wrong with elderly living alone?

-- 父親節母親節才見父母一次﹐加埋聖誕﹐即是一年只係一兩次
I could have visited my parents often. But not 1 to 2 times la... A lot of my coworkers are close to their parents too. The 1 to 2 times cases are mostly for parents who lives out of town.

-- 聖誕等大時大節一定開派對
? if not, when to party?? weekdays?

-- 多數在別的市或鎮擁有 COTTAGE﹐成日去住返幾日
Some are inherited or past down from families. I wish I have a vacation home somewhere nice.

-- 很喜歡去 CRUISE﹐一年去幾次
Actually more Chinese I know went to cruise than Caucasians here....

-- 通常一年返工時間不夠一半﹐平時唔係放假就多多借口唔返工﹐例如只狗病左之類
Not in my case. Limited sick leaves. ppl in general work very hard in my office.

-- 大假之後的星期一多數請病假﹐因為之前玩得太累﹐透支了
If I go to HK...etc jetlag may trigger sick leaves too...   But I don't see my coworkers doing that. Again, limited sick leaves. And we usually get very busy after long vacation.

-- 最少生兩三個小孩
REALLY. I know ppl who don't have kid and some who has 2.

還有一點﹕ 他們對咖啡同酒精類飲品﹐都處於瘋狂的狀態。

我基本上住響邊個國家都無咩分別﹐因為我的興趣就係﹕

-- 一年去兩三次旅行 (最好去D未去過的地方)
-- 周圍試美食 (所以美食最好就腳一點就好D﹐呢點香港勝出)
-- 平時多數看書﹐上網﹐打機﹐SHOPPING﹐做運動﹐睡覺

所以對我來說﹐真的住在哪兒沒甚麼分別﹐反而加拿大的生活方式唔太適合我﹐例如﹕ 我唔鐘意整花園喇

I like gardening "once a while"...but definitely "not" maintain it lor...
i.e. once a while I will buy a couple of bedding flower to plant, but then I always forget to water them... >_<

And I don't like watering/mowing lawn...I just paid for someone to mow the lawn...

I do enjoy outdoor activities...hiking is great! Skiing (if I can afford) I want to go more often la.

Talking about good food... I like to go to Vegas la.. cheap flight ticket and ... decent price for food!

People here love coffee but most of the coffee they drink are "water like"... unless you go to starbucks or others...
Unlike Europe... people like coffee and the quality is much better...even in the cafe inside gas station!

I don't like coffee at my office but I still drink it. (Cos it's free)
I am sure a lot of ppl like coffee just that it's hard to have good coffee here all the time. btw, if u try coffee on the east coast (e.g. NJ) it's worst... I threw one away after 1 small sip. But I had to buy it cos I need change for parking.. @ @

btw, I don't even think starbucks is good.

You are right, I love coffee and food in europe.
