I tried the beef don place and had their beef don & chicken don.  Both ma ma day... not too impressed.  Probably will not go back again.

Always wanted to try the japa dog next to it though... haven't had a chance to try the store, only the stands.  Hopefully it's the same flavour :p

Hong Kong people can make better beef rice.

I think it's OK for a quick meal. I was in DT and need a quick lunch. Wanted to try JapaDog but it was too busy. I went in GuuDon and had a beef rib rice. Done in 15 min (including paying for it) and had a place to sit down.
I think the size is good. I can't finish the regular size and for a $10 lunch, it's alright. I will prob order their regular beef don ($5) without the soup and the salad next time.

How big is the beef don? $5 is very cheap  for dining in DT,
a good sub costs $7-$8,  even a quick meal at Mc D is not
cheap.
Even Hon's is more expensive

It's not big. I guess it may be too small for a guy but already too much rice for me at lunch. They do have a bigger size beef don (not so much meat compare to chicken and the rib don). The picture shows thin slices of beef with onion on rice. It looks alright.

I usually eat light lunch(Raw vegetables and rice cakes), smaller portion is OK if the quality is good

I won't say it's "good quality" but it's acceptable for my $10 lunch and good service. I will need to try out the beef don to see if that's worth the $5.
