Already talked a few people at work here about the Nexus card.  They do not come back to Canada through the Nexus booth if it's a day trip.  They will go through it if they stay more than 48 hrs.  Going down south, they always go thru the Nexus.  Of course, if the customs person ask you to go inside to pay taxes, you still need to pay.  Sometimes if you don't buy a whole lot on a day trip, they will let you go.

Online store like Amazon will probably need to request the tax examption later.
