both my husband and I do...we are post 80s...
but we might have to stop once we have the baby and I go on mat leave (not enough $$$ to pay for mortgage!)

I think 家用 is a bit old school. I don't live with my parents (not even in the same country most of the time) what am I suppose to do? Auto-pay? pay annually?

I just pay some of their bills (have their insurance bills send to me for example) and pay for their vacations, etc... i think it's less awkward than money. I think "sum yee" is always better when it's not CASH - it's like giving people cash for birthday... it's a bit too impersonal. After all, my parents don't need my money, they're richer than me....
