I can't believe the parents stayed there and let the kid yelled and screamed at them while tons of people watching them like watching shows. Most parents would just take the kid out of site so it does not look emarrassed to them.

I've seen so many cases that the grand parents crippling the parent's authority in front of the child without knowing.

even being 80後 myself...i believe certain 體罰 is necessary .....children these days are just sooo spoiled...none of my younger cousins have ever been even 打手板...in this video..i think the parents should call the police instead..let the kid go to prison for a day or two and learn that life is not only what you want...

I'm pretty sure a certain amount of spanking is allowed under the law -- I think getting your hand slapped with a ruler by the parent is one of them.

the kid needed some form of encouragement or affirmation and it's better be physical such as a good long hug

and if the parents were not doing that and they preferred to continue in public this intellectual bargaining

if i were a stranger watching all these in real i wouldn't know what to do either cause it wasn't my kid and the parents were right by the side

but yeah a physical reroute of the intellect back to the physical body would be more appropriate imo instead of drawing more energy out of the kid (7 yrs old ?? )

but then perhaps the parents were training the kid's intellect and public speaking ability ?? or was that a scam to get HK$20 bus fare -- a 4 persons team including the guy talking back and forth in the crowd
