Lenovo also has its own tablet computer. All the other computer makers like HP, Dell and Acer, Fujitsu are also facing the same threat from Apple iPad. Therefore, it is surprising that you bashed only Lenovo.
But Lenovo is taking the market share away from HP, Dell and Acer rapidly, with Lenovo becoming the leader in enterprise PC sales.
The Apple iPad is not going to replace the laptop and the PC, for obvious reasons.
Apple's iPad is the market leader now, and the iPad is even taking market share away from its own Apple MacBook laptops and Mac computer. But most people who buy iPad, also still buy laptops.
China is also capable of making some of the world's fastest mainframe and supercomputers, like the Tianhe series and the Dawning supercomputer, using its own Chinese Loongson CPU.
Besides China, other Asian competitors like Japan, Korea and Taiwan, they are good at manufacture (hardware) but not as good yet in software.
Right now, no companies from Japan, Korea or Taiwan can compete with Huawei and ZTE. This shows lack of innovation from Canada, Japan and Korea. They just cannot compete with innovative products from China's Huawei and ZTE.
Even American Cisco and Juniper Networks are losing market share to Huawei and ZTE. This is partly the reason why Cisco and Juniper's profits are shrinking. |
