actually..    I think you should give him a chance ..    It is probably very hard for him to get from china to canada.. and the canadian citizenship is probably very important for him and his family.
...

It was such a little argument and he's flipping out giving people head locks...That's just abnormal...
This guys needs a lesson...he can't turn to violence for everything...
He's 25 btw (at least what he tells me) and he still thinks that violence can resolve something...threatening me not to give him attitude?  How am I suppose to work with him like that...If he gets fired, he can still get back at me because he knows where I live...I'm losing my job right now for his stupidity, so who's the victim now?

Yeah...I'm dangerous...only if you mess with me...

I think you have handled the situation properly.

I would suggest you to have a talk with your manager (and the HR person if there is one).  I wouldn't go to the police yet.

just a warn,  Canada's laws are for protecting criminals, not for innocent (or victims)

I was assaulted by my co-worker when I was getting off from work...

The whole thing started with a small argument (At least I think it is...)
Before lunch time, I was organizing some files and I gave ...

Makten,

I think you done the right thing and you deal with it properly.
You should really teach him a lesson. I mean this is Canada not China, it's not like violence and money can solve everything. There is something called "law" in Canada.

makten,
my hubby told me about this post, so i came to read it... i can't believe it's you!

條on9 仔有人係度都夠僵郁你? 唔洗報仇。照正法律黎做佢都夠死架喇~ 有冇見血都好(可況有見血),緊係要搵ah-sir傾傾啦!打鐵chan熱!
but if he's so aggressive, make sure your female co-worker is good & ready to be witness. and maybe when she leaves/行出行埋都有人陪她。you never know if that on9仔might try to scare the sh!t out of her to make her back off from being witness.

it's probably not serious enough for him to be deported ... but most likely he'll lose his job.

I think you will have to watch out after that.

I just talked to my boss earlier and I also went to the RCMP about this...

My boss wanted to talk some sense into this guy when I went to the office this morning...The guy doesn't even seem to think it was a problem and he refuses to apologize to me...He said he was giving me some "color" for holding an attitude against him...The guy just doesn't understand about how serious violence is...My boss was telling him that this is Canada and people should be civilized and not use solution methods from China...

Regarding the job, I already told my boss that I'll quit since I don't want the guy to come back and go crazy on me when I'm not aware...Also the guy is my boss's frd's son so I don't care if he still holds the job or not...He'll get what he deserves though....over our legal system

I guess I'll type up another report later today...

Originally I was gonna hold back a bit and not push this too far...
But seeing his attitude today, I just thought something needs to be done...
The cops should be at the office now...talking to him...and there's a pretty high possibility that the guy gets arrested on the spot  to be brought in for questions...
