China vs US is just stupid talk. Chinese people really need to stay humble and work hard for them to have a chance to restore China back to it's former glory. All these BS talk about how 'strong' their country currently is, just detracts from the focus that a lot of work still needs to be done.



These are numbers from the depth of the recession also. US recovered somewhat now, and China have cooled down a little since then. Also pay attention that US GDP > China GDP, even tho China has > 4x population of the US. So the GDP per Capital of China, even after adjusting for PPP, is about 1/30th of that of the US.






Not to mention that aside from a few dozens of prototypes, on the whole, the Chinese military is probably 20 years behind in technology when compared to the US military.

A warfare in economy or military is just impossible. It's true tho that on the press, the US will scream a lot louder even if they lost a few Billion or have a few soliders killed, even when a B means a lot more per capita to China, or if a few hundreds dies in China.

They can longer print money as they wish, since they are facing the fiscal cliff. If they can print as much as they wish, they would not be in so much debt.

I don't think China have 30x growth in the past few years, let alone 3x. Lucky if they had 30%.

If you love the mother country China so much, instead of having a big mouth boasting the countries 'excellency', i suggest some real work to be done instead. Improve education, perhaps democracy, or even spread awareness that China as it is, still have a lot of work that needs to be done for them to be a true superpower of this world. Chinese people should definately not get complacent and content and be satisfied in it's currently still very 2nd world state.

You can believe what you want in what will happen in the future. I hope you are right. But for that future to happen for real, a lot more work needs to be done rather than just having a big mouth and being self complacent, like a lot of the richer mainlander's attitude currently are these days.... They might be rich (because they r successful or their parents are), but their country is definately still in a very sh_tty hole...

I agree with you China needs to work hard for long periods of time, just like any other country. But China is one of the largest creditor of the US.
The US is richer, but a big part of that is due to financial engineering.

Even using BiscottiGelato's old 2009 figures. US adjusted for PPP GDP $45,755, China adjusted for PPP GDP $6809.

45755/6809 = 6.72.

Where did you get that US is 30x richer per capita?
