The reason of this case is several very overloaded trucks all line up on one side of the bridge section, in an attempt to avoid the weight inspection. These trucks are all several times over the legal limit.

There is no way the Port Mann bridge can support several overloaded trucks few times the legal limit, all parked on one side, at the same time.

Who cares what beam they use? The bridge will break if very overloaded.

以我所知, 橋墩入面應該係要有reinforcing steel, 再加鋼筋, so that D水泥可以同steel bond住
我唔係engineer, 條橋可能係斷正响2個expansion joints 中間囉~

唉… 又係時侯講一講歷史…

大蘋果城既帝國大廈,以大約八十年前既標準同建築技術,起到一百零二層…

以今時今日既標準,保守詁計佢係可以起高一倍…

所以,你真係唔好睇小 Port Mann  橋…

加拿大既豹二坦克響佢條右線排住隊一架接一架咁過佢都仲係柔刃有餘…

塌橋意外,大部份都跟接口位有關…

睇完近呢兩版post,  大家既著眼點都好集中響中間o個兩條柱度…

我可以咁講,如果設計本身o個個位唔駛橫樑,正如相中o個兩條柱,接口位係可以唔駛用鋼筋…
o個兩個接口位係moveable joint,  只負責重量,transfer moment 就留番俾頭尾兩處橋墩…

至於點解o個兩條柱係moveable joint,  無數壉係答唔到你…

如果你地問我呢單意外關唔關偷工減料事,我既主觀意見係唔關… 以斷下完整既橋身同埋近乎完好無缺既橋墩,d料就應該係俾足架喇… 至於偷工方面,真係一疋布咁長,都唔知由邊一度講好…
我比較懷疑可能跟趕工有關…

一陣間peter 會話呢一條係火車橋,唔算數…
當年D橋好多條都仲係好堅,安全系數過高,俾足料, 但係市儈D叫做徙料…
