I enjoy coffee but not an expert.  Not more than 3 cups in regular office hours.
I love to chat with friends in warm and cozy coffee shops.  However, most of the coffee cakes and pastries offered in these shop are too sweet or less selection.  When I'm at home, I like to serve my black coffee with Chinese pastries like 蛋撻，椰撻，雞批，咖哩角.... etc.  Just wondering if local coffee shops (not 茶餐廳) will have Chinese pastries on top of main stream pastries provided to customers ?   Or, put it that way, coffee shop with Chinese and pastries offered will be accepted by general customers ?

I think those are Hong Kong style pastry. I don't know any coffee shop serving that.
Currently no local roaster that I know of serves Chinese/Hong Kong pastry.
There may be some that have Taiwanese style western pastry/dessert (Kerrisdale).
But I am not sure.

I don't know. It's up to cafe owners to bring whatever kind of pastry in.

I quite like the beans from La Cuisson, very good quality and fresh, fair price too, they sell cat poo and blue mountain.

They also sell Ice Drip Coffee Machine, good for lazy people want great ice coffee...

Just found out London Drugs is clearing Peet's Coffee in whole beans for $10 a bag. The roasting date is 10/10/2013, so out of my surprise it's so cheap.

I will try them tomorrow and see how good it is for pour over and french press.

Peet's roast is usually darker. May be good with Moka or espresso machine.
