I think GST is for whole country anyway?

but then GST + PST is 12% now anyway ..  so .. no different?

If this is the case, we may pay a bit more on tax on food etc, but save a lots on the other hand wor ...

If I dine out 2 times a week, spending $40 each time. I will spend $3840 a year just for dining.

With only paying GST, I will pay $192 each year.
With HST applied, I will pay $460.8 a year.

I will pay $268.8 more after this HST kick in.

And buyers of new homes will receive a partial rebate up to a maximum of $20,000.
So no one will buy expansive new houses any more.
