yes ar .. air cond ..

Last few yr.. both my wife and I work, and at night, not that hot, so we didn't turn air cond on all the time ..


This yr .. with new baby.. so air cond on almost 24/7 .....

Bill will be very "GOLD" la..

It's supposed to be as high as 38C at some of our Seattle area this Wed.  honestly.. I am lucky to have AC for the house with an additional AC in my room..!  or me, my son, and my dog would be dead...!

溫哥華33.8度「熱」破紀錄          2009年7月30日

【明報專訊】卑詩昨日天氣酷熱，溫哥華及阿博斯福更創下高溫紀錄，加拿大環境部氣象局傍晚6時於溫哥華國際機場測溫站錄得33.8度的高溫，打破了氣象局在1960年8月9日所錄得33.3度的高溫紀錄。

加拿大環境部氣象學家迪肯森(Gary Dickinson)解釋：「一道非常強的高壓脊籠罩卑詩，這高壓脊會將南部的熱空氣帶到本省，這是導致創下高溫紀錄的原因。」

溫哥華國際機場測溫站昨日的氣溫，從下午3時起便開始錄得32度或以上，往後4小時的氣溫徘徊在32至近34度之間，即使接近太陽下山的時分，晚上8時的氣溫也達至31.7度。

於阿博斯福的氣溫昨日整天都甚為炎熱，早上10時已達27度，到近中午12時便有33度，溫度一直上升，下午4時達37.6度，迫近高溫紀錄。

迪肯森表示，阿博斯福昨日的氣溫其實創新高曾達38.0度，比舊紀錄高0.1度。

於溫哥華島方面，省府維多利亞溫度雖未破1941年7月創下的36.1度紀錄，但也高達34至35度，而阿賓尼港(Port Alberni)於下午2時有近38度，3時至5時間達至40度，破了1978年8月的38.4度的紀錄。

於低陸平原多個地區，均錄得35度以上高溫，包括溫哥華海港(Vancouver Harbour)的測溫站和西溫哥華，而阿加西斯市(Agassiz)和基隆那(Kelowna)機場更達37度。

大溫地區周一的天氣已很熱，3名在高貴林柏文救火的消防員也因高溫而出現不適，而蘭里一消防局長周二在救火後更出現心跳停頓，幸獲及時搶救，昨日他的情況已轉趨穩定。

迪肯森提醒公眾，多飲水保持體內有足夠水份和避免被太陽直接長時間照射。
